Elgin Zulueta

After life at the University, Elgin Zulueta immediately joined the mainstream media industry in the Philippines, first as an intern, then, as a fully-fledged production manager, handling simple events to full-blown corporate events. She reckons this to being like a kid in a candy store.  For the next five years, Elgin worked her way up the ladder of media success, earning the trust of her clients, artists and her peers.

True to her inquisitive nature, Elgin began writing as a hobby.  Then she began writing copy to augment the showrooms she conceptualized while working for a design company.  She started writing about life in general, starting with a simple blog that was only available for friends to read.  Soon, after being convinced by her friends, she was given her first break to write for the Philippine Mabuhay Newspaper.  First as a guest columnist, she was eventually given her own column called “Take It EZ!”  With lifestyle topics ranging from event coverage to artist feature interviews, Elgin Zulueta engages her readers. She is also the lifestyle writer covering events in mainstream America for Asian Journal and writing features and new talents for 13 Minutes Magazine and M Magazine. Being very active in the community, she also contributes to an online young college and professional’s community, Bakitwhy.com. She is also a member of National Federation of Filipino American Association (NaFFAA) and Asian Professional Exchange (APEX).

She received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at De La Salle University, College of St. Benilde in 1995 and graduated from the USC Marshall School of Business Management Development program in 2006.
